About the Journal
History
The RFPT was founded in 1959 together with the French Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (SFPT). Initially named "Bulleting de la Société Française de Photogrammétrie", in 2004 it changes it's name to "Revue Française de Photogrammétrie et de Télédétection" which stands for the French Journal for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing.
Publication and operating mode
The RFPT:
- is led by the Editor-in-Chief with the support of the editorial board;
- publishes one volume per year
- accepts articles in french and in english
- is an open-acess journal under the Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 license:
This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the article, or use them for any other lawful purpose without asking prior permission from the published or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open acces.
- uses the PKP Preservation Network based on the LOCKSS programme to digitally preserve their content
- registers its repository policy with Sherpa/Romeo thus allowing for deposits in institutional respositories
All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process by at least 2 reviewers.
Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work.
This journal is "green" open-access and the authors are exempted from aying any publishing fees.

Scope and objectives
The journal's targets are scientific communities working in the fields of photogrammetry, remote sensing, geographical information systems, computer vision, machine learning and their adjacent disciplines.
